Plymouth South has once again had an impressive DECA showing, with 67% of students achieving or surpassing national DECA standards in their cluster exams.

Many students won individual awards, and several will be advancing to state DECA competitions later this year.

Some of the results include a first place award for Sarah McAskill in Food Marketing, a 2nd place award for the team of Alyssa Richard and Kailee Taylor in Hospitality and Serives.

Brianna Johnson also won 2nd place in Principles of Business Management and Administration

DECA (1)Third place awards were earned by Shanlea Kernen in Apparel & Accessories Marketing, Luke Goldring in Sports & Entertianment Marketing, Brianna Johnson in Principles of Business Management, the team of Carly Bishop and Jess Hayward in Business Law & Ethics, and the team of Kasandra Merlino and Greg Pappas for Marketing Communications role-play.

Top 10 placement overall in categories include Chris McDonnell in Restaurant & Food Service Management, Drew Guadagno & Jake Sampson in Sports & Entertainment Marketing, and Finn McKee & Josh Todisco in Financial Services.

Achieving top 7 placement overall–which qualifies these students of the state DECA competition–include Tyler Glennon in Business Finance, Brianna Johnson in Principles of Bsuiness Management, Sarah McAskill in Food Marketing, Alyssa Richard & Kaille Taylor in Hospitality Services, Carly Bishop & Jess Hayward in Bsuiness & Law Ethics, Ben Kotce & Max DiBella in Finance Services, and Kasandra Merlino & Greg Papas in Marketing Communications.
