As the end of the year approaches, AP exams are wrapping up, senioritis is in full swing, and summer weather is almost here. However, there’s one thing that is always a highlight of spring. This year, the Plymouth South theater guild will be performing the musical Chicago!

Set in the Jazz Age, Chicago is about the corruption of the era, with a woman murdering her lover and trying to blame her husband–until he finds out and turns on her. What follows is an entertaining story about the American Dream in an almost-comically corrupt society.

With about 40 students involved, from the crew to leads, this is going to be an experience you do not want to miss. Both Director Mr. Luciana and Choreographer Ms. Pepin say they are excited for the first spring musical at Plymouth South in 3 years!

“This show has been a great experience so far, and has been really fun to prepare for!” says Ms. Pepin, who actually performed in this show in college. After a few months of rehearsals, students are almost ready to add the finishing touches and the musical is all coming together in the final weeks of rehearsals.

Interested in attending? Check out SouthTheatreGuild on Instagram, and find the link for tickets in the bio, as well as the link below! Students can also purchase tickets at lunch.
