If you’re looking to find a new show to binge, Gilmore Girls will not disappoint! This show focuses on the relationship between a single mother, Lorelai, and her daughter. The show is set in a town called Star’s Hollow, and follows Rory’s drama-filled, complex life throughout high school and college.
Rory and Lorelai are the classic mother, daughter duo in film. Rory and Loreai live in Stars Hallow, Connecticut in the early 2000s. The show Gilmore Girls, mostly portrays their life, but many others as well. Like Rory’s best friend Lane who is always doing something rebellious, going against her mothers word. She is also the fun and energetic person that Rory can trust.
Luke Danes, (also known as The Luke) owns Luke’s Diner Where almost every episode Rory and Lorai get breakfast. He is a serious character that is grumpy, while his nephew Jess is different. Jess is always getting into some type of trouble, either not listening to Luke or fighting someone. Similar to Dean, who was Rory’s boyfriend in the show. He was kind and caring but a little over protective. When Rory’s grandparents invited him for dinner, they were not a fan. Emily, Rory’s Grandmother, is a strict person but is very outgoing. Richard, Rory’s grandfather is the opposite, he keeps to himself but he is extremely smart like Rory.
Lorelai’s closest friend, Michel, works at the hotel with Lorelai. His character is very sarcastic, but very funny because he is from France. He is the opposite of Suki, who is Lorelai’s best friend and is the chef for the hotel. She is always upbeat and happy and takes much pride in her cooking skills.
The next character is Christopher, Rory’s Dad. He has never been serious, and is never around. He and Lorelai were 15 when Rory was born. Then the last character, but the most serious is Paris. She is Rory’s friend at Chilton, the private school that Rory goes to. All that Paris wants is good grades. She is smart and pretty, but she lacks personality. When she talks there’s not that much emotion put into it, but her brilliance makes up for it.
The first episode of pilot is like a preview into what the rest of the show will be like.
It introduces most of the characters into the show, some come a little later. The episode is about Rory getting into Chilton Prep Highschool. After she figures this out problems start to evolve.
Lorelai has to figure out how to pay for the tuition, because Lorelai doesn’t make that much. Then they decide to ask Rory’s wealthy grandparents. Her grandparents agree to make a deal, they pay for it if they come to dinner every friday.
